Calendar Basics
At first glance Google Calendar looks and operates like any other digital calendar. We will orient you to all the settings you can manipulate. We will show you how to navigate through your calendar interface and how to create events. Se will also show you all the settings that can be used for an individual event, such as adding an attachment, color coding, marking as private, marking as available, etc..
Sharing Calendars / Using Secondary Calendars
What makes Google Calendar unique is that you can create a number of different calendars within your account. These calendars can then be shared differently with different groups of people. This can allow you to manage all of your scheduling within one interface, and yet share (or not share) various aspects of schedules with different groups. we will show you all the aspects of sharing calendars as well as how to view other people's calendars.
Inviting Guests to Events
We will show you all the ins and outs of inviting others to an event, sending invitation emails, sending update emails and managing the guest list. we will also show you all the aspects of being invited to an event.

Publishing Calendars
We will show you the different ways to publish one or more calendar to the web. You manage events in your Calendar account and they are automatically updated everywhere else they appear. Calendars can be published separately or combined together. Calendars can be shared with the entire world or with a smaller subset of users, such as a department. We will also show you can you can allow others to submit events to a public calendar without you having to do any work, although you can set up various levels of moderation for approving these event submissions.
Resource Calendars and Linking Calendars Together
Here we will show you how to make Google Calendar an exceptional tool for scheduling resources. Set up calendars to manage room bookings, equipment booking, or other resources. Do you want to have different calendars for different groups or audiences, but you don’t want to repeat creating the same events across multiple calendars? Learn how to link events across multiple calendars to manage processes and projects, all the while managing a single set of events and resources. AS with public calendars we will also show you how to allow others submit events or book resources, while all you have to do is moderate or oversee.
Other Advanced Tasks with Calendar
Learn some additional features to take Calendar a step further. Appointment Slots allows you to pre-define appointments that others can sign-up for. Learn how to a spreadsheet of event data and import it into Calendar events, or do the opposite and convert Calendar data into spreadsheet form. We’ll also show you how to integrate a popular third-party application, Doodle.com, that will allow you to create a voting system for finding and scheduling the best possible meeting time for a group; especially useful for users not using or sharing Google Calendar.
